|Tomorrow will be fun!
Alexandra is baking for the picnic and I'm driving her nuts listening to the Aqua Teen Christmas cd. It's a good night and tomorrow will be just as good.

|Well, it's not as bad as 3....
Those were the sentiments that echoed down the halls in the post traumatic climate following the screening of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince last night. The film, while visually on par with the rest of the series, was by far the most butchered in it's translation from book to screen since the fiasco that was Prisoner of Azkaban. While the actors are all credible and they do their best, the pacing of the film is just way, way off. The ENTIRE subplot of the Half Blood Prince has been removed. You might as well have called it, "Harry Potter and the Used Potions Book" for that is the totality of the importance of the item. The rest of the story is pretty much intact, many people feel it's anti-climatic, but that is the way it's supposed to be. The book is probably the least stand alone of the series and as so, so is this film. It truly is a chapter in the story that is waiting to be wrapped up in the next film. I do hope though, they include the last bit of this book in the opening of the next film. It's a huge, important thing and it's not even hinted at in the film. This book, was my very favorite in the series. The Snape origin was very, very important. I am very disappointed.

|Robert Downey Jr on The Dark knight....
Iron Man Says He "Didn't Get" Batman Movie
18 August 2008 10:26 AM, PDT
Robert Downey Jr. may only be spoofing, as he reportedly does to hilarious effect playing a white Australian actor playing an African-American soldier in Tropic Thunder, but he has boldly given The Dark Knight its worst review yet. When asked during an interview with MovieHole.net about the Batman sequel, Downey said that he "didn't get it. ... [I] still can't tell you what happened in the movie, what happened to the character." He said that while watching the movie, it dawned on him, "I get it. This is so high-brow and so f***ing smart, I clearly need a college education to understand this movie." He then added, "You know what? F*** DC comics. That's all I have to say and that's where I'm really coming from." Last month, Downey starred as Iron Man, created by DC comics' principal rival, Marvel.

|Hmmm, so, follow me here...
Heath Ledger is dead. Christian Bale got arrested for assault, now Morgan Freeman is in the hospital badly injured. What do they all have in common? Hmmmm....maybe the Superman curse has jumped franchises?

|Buffy: The Animated Series!
Remember a few years ago, right before the end of the show, when ABC had commissioned an animated version of Buffy? I didn't think so, well, they did. They never actually animated an entire episode but they did voice sessions for the first 6. Well, what they DID animate was a near 4 min pitch reel. This reel has Alyson Hannigan, Nick Brendan and Anthony Stewart Head reprising their roles and Giselle Loren (who did Buffy's voice on the video games) doing Buffy. It has never been seen...until now. Behold, what could have been. I doubt the link will be active long. Hurry.

|Evil Dead 4
So, it's not getting much press, but Sam Raimi announced this weekend at Comicon that he is going to do Evil Dead 4. He went so far as to say that he and Ivan (his brother) will be getting together this weekend to start writing it. He has to do Spiderman 4 first (really) and he has Drag Me To Hell before that. However, this is official, straight from the man. Not sure how I feel about this, I want it, sure, but not from the guy who made me Spiderman 3. Also, oddly enough, he is doing the net Jack Ryan movie! You know, from the Tom Clancey novels. Strange I say.
